So, you have got your new business 'kind of' started and your feeling positive about moving in the right direction. You are getting things put in the right places and actually seeing the machine start to move. You are so anxious because you want everything to happen yesterday! Oh no... no.... come [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] on.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Something just blows up on you. You lost internet. Your payment didn't read through. Your website just broke. You deleted something by accident that (you think) you will never see again. RELAX, MAN!
It just so happens that I am the absolute expert on losing my mind over the little things that don't really need to be worried about. Although I am getting better with each day, I still have to catch myself every time something doesn't go just right. With me its a bit of an impatience / [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] perfectionist problem.
OK. Problem realized. Now what are you gonna do about it? Break a glass? [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Throw your phone across the room? Push the computer off the desk? (ok, so maybe there is a little under lying anger issue too)
Don't do it! All it does is piss you off more and takes you longer to realize that you can still get a [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] lot done while your problems are being repaired. Sure its frustrating as hell and especially when you are just bleeding to make it all happen but letting it eat you up [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] will only slow down your process and I know from experience. TRUST ME!
I read something along [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] time [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] ago about a woman who was very diligent about her career and was on her way up. She happened to [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] live on the other side of the tracks (literally) from her job. When she would head out for work in the morning, occasionally she would get held up by the train. When ever this would happen she would give in to fits of rage and it would ultimately ruin her whole day (and I imagine [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] it [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] couldn't have been to much fun for [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] her associates as well). So she realized she was losing productivity [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] on these days and had to fix it. What was her problem? "If I drive around to the nearest bridge it will take me 45 minutes to get in. If I wait it out its about 20 minutes. The train is already there and I cant do a damn thing about it so why freak out when I could read a book and be happy?"
So my system crashed for a few hours. I still have [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] some cool and inspiring audios to listen to. My website just took a shit. By the time that's back online, I'm gonna have articles for those last 5 ideas written.
Don't let things 'breaking' down, 'bring' you down. Send that energy [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] towards creativity and let it flow!
Believe this or not. I was having a writing block tonight and while I was messing around with stuff on my WP [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] site it broke on me. Guess what else broke? My writing block! Imagine that.
